Chelsea would currently only be ready to offer €35 million for Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries, whilst the Nerazzurri are holding out for €55 million.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInter1908, who report that there is still a significant gap between the amount that the Nerazzurri are requesting, and the amount that Chelsea would actually be willing to offer.
Chelsea are getting increasingly serious about trying to sign Dumfries as early as during the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old is a target for the Blues to reinforce their right flank whilst Reece James is out injured, as the 23-year-old Englishman could be out for quite some time.
However, it will remain to be seen whether the Londoners and Inter are able to come to an agreement on a fee for a deal to send Dumfries to the English capital.
According to Mediaset, Chelsea’s offer has yet to rise above €35 million, whilst the Nerazzurri’s demand for the player remains significantly higher than this amount.
