Inter would only consider a prospective swap deal with Barcelona involving midfielders Franck Kessie and Marcelo Brozovic if the Blaugranas were to offer a cash fee on top of the player.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri’s higher evaluation of Brozovic than Kessie remains an obstacle to a deal.
The possibility of a swap deal involving Inter midfielder Brozovic and Barcelona midfielder Kessie has been persistently linked in Spanish and Italian media over the past few days.
Reports have emerged suggesting that, even if there is some way to go in negotiations, the two clubs are discussing the possibility.
Tuttosport report that Kessie would like to make the return to Serie A to play for the city rivals of his old club AC Milan.
According to Tuttosport, however, there would be no chance of Inter accepting a straight swap between the Ivorian and Brozovic.
The Nerazzurri feel that Brozovic has a clearly higher market value than Kessie does, and so they would only be ready to accept an offer of a cash-plus-player swap which saw not just the former Rossoneri midfielder but also a cash fee arrive in exchange for Brozovic.
