Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is really starting to build up a head of steam in terms of his form, and this is starting to be reflected in his trophy cabinet.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who note that the 25-year-old has now won two trophies in the space of the month in the form of the World Cup and the Supercoppa Italiana.

Whilst Martinez did not have anywhere near the impact expected of him at the World Cup in Qatar, he did have his role to play.

The Argentine scored the decisive penalty in a quarterfinal shootout win over the Netherlands, whilst his appearance from the bench in extra time of the final against France gave the Albiceleste an injection of energy in attack that was sorely needed.

This triumph seemed to give Martinez an extra boost in terms of motivation and confidence upon his return to Inter, as the striker has now scored four goals in his last four matches.

The 25-year-old was on the scoresheet against AC Milan in the Supercoppa, scoring the Nerazzurri’s third to put the seal on a dominant win over their city rivals.

With yet another piece of silverware collected exactly one month after victory in Qatar, the sense is that the wind is in Martinez’s sails now, and Inter will be hoping that this is kept up over the rest of the campaign with three more titles still to play for.
