Inter defender Milan Skriniar has turned down the Nerazzurri’s contract extension offer for the time being, although he has not fully made his mind up.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported on his homepage that the Slovakian has declined the offer of €6.5 million net per season including add-ons to extend his deal.

Inter’s contract offer to Skriniar has been on the table, worth €6.5 million net per season including all add-ons.

According to Di Marzio, the former Sampdoria defender’s initial request was for €8 million net per season.

The Sky transfer market expert reports that the Nerazzurri made clear to the player and his representatives that they could not reach this high with an offer, and that the offer that they made is their final one.

According to Di Marzio, the club have left the door open to the possibility that the player could decide to change his mind, as his decision is not final.

However, Inter are now ready to look for replacements for Skriniar, as for now he has communicated that he has no intention of accepting their offer.
