Reggina midfielder Giovanni Fabbian believes he is improving rapidly after his loan move from Inter this season.

The 20-year-old made the temporary switch to Reggio Emilia at the start of the season and has proven to be instrumental in their push for promotion to Serie A under coach Filippo Inzaghi, whilst Fabbian netted twice in a 2-1 win over Ternana today to move the club back into second place.

In an interview with Italian television broadcaster Sky Sport Italia after the match, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, Fabbian admitted that he was learning at a quicker rate than he had been in the past.

“It was important to win today, we wanted to redeem ourselves after the defeat last time,” the former Padova youth team player declared.

“I’m happy with the goals scored, but above all with the result. Serie B is long and difficult, we try to do our best in every game, always trying to get the best result.

“The timing of my passing has always been a feature of my game, I’m young and I’m improving day by day. Two or three years ago I wasn’t like that, I’m trying to grow in this aspect.”

Fabbian also discussed former Inter Primavera teammate Cesare Casadei, who completed a move to Premier League club Chelsea last summer from the Nerazzurri.

“Cesare is a great friend of mine, we always talk. I keep my feet on the ground and continue to work by giving my best, then we will see what happens,” he added.

Fabbian is yet to make a senior appearance for Inter, but has impressed for Reggina with seven goals from 21 Serie B games.
