Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries is increasingly likely to leave the club this season, and they will turn to Club Brugges’ Tajon Buchanan as his replacement.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Netherlands international is expected to make a move to the Premier League, with Inter in need of raising funds through the sale of a first team player.

Dumfries has been most strongly linked to Chelsea, but agent Rafaela Pimenta has been working on pushing her client to other English clubs in need of a right-sided defender.

Whilst the former PSV Eindhoven player is expected to depart in the summer, a sale this month has not been ruled out and the Nerazzurri could cash in now.

Any funds brought in for Dumfries would be on top of the cut they are expecting from the sale of Roma forward Nicolo Zaniolo, with Inter holding a 15% sell-on clause from the transfer that took him to the Stadio Olimpico in 2018.

A replacement for Dumfries has already been identified, with Canada international Buchanan sounded out as a low-cost signing.
