Inter are set to come up against a familiar face when they take on Empoli in Serie A tomorrow evening, as loanee Martin Satriano will start in attack for the Azzurri.

As reported by FCInterNews.it, the Uruguayan striker is expected to be named in coach Paolo Zanetti’s starting line-up for the match at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, having moved to Empoli on loan from Inter last summer.

The 21-year-old will be paired in attack by veteran forward Francesco Caputo, with former Inter Primavera striker Mattia Destro injured.

Zanetti has a raft of missing players, with Destro joined in the treatment room by Ardian Ismajli, Alberto Grassi, and Lorenzo Tonelli, whilst Ravzan Marin serves a suspension.

Empoli are yet to decide on whether Scottish midfielder Liam Henderson will feature against Inter, with Nicolas Haas the more likely candidate for selection.

Satriano joined Inter from Nacional in 2020 and has made four senior appearances for the Nerazzurri, spending last season on loan in France with Brest.

The Uruguay international has netted once in 10 games for Empoli in all competitions this season.
