Ligue 1 side Auxerre have emerged as the main candidates to sign Inter goalkeeper Andrei Radu on loan for the rest of the season, ahead of their domestic rivals Lorient.

This according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the French side are now in pole position to sign the 25-year-old, and that they can get a deal wrapped up as early as tomorrow.

Teams in France have looked to be keen on loaning in Radu this month, whose loan spell with newly-promoted Serie A side Cremonese was cute short after Marco Carnesecchi displaced the Romanian from the starting eleven.

Lorient had looked to be ready to sign the keeper, but they did not get a deal done for him and now look set to miss out.

According to TMW, Auxerre have stepped up to loan in the 25-year-old, and now it is only a matter of a day or two before the move is completed.
