Empoli midfielder Tommaso Baldanzi feels that his team will be in for a very stern examination against Inter in this evening’s Serie A match.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview published in today’s print edition, via FCInterNews, the 19-year-old noted that the Nerazzurri look to be one of the teams in form in Italy, and that he and his teammates are under no illusions regarding the difficulty of the fixture.

On paper and looking at the two teams’ respective positions in the table, there is little question that Inter are the favourites over Empoli in this evening’s match.

Considering the fact that the Nerazzurri come into the match off the back of a dominant win over AC Milan last week, they could appear to be even more imposing as an opponent for the Tuscans to face, particularly at the San Siro.

“It will be tough,” Baldanzi said of the match, “Inter are a great team who play great football.”

“If you had asked me a week ago who’s impressing me most, I would have said Napoli alone, for how well they’re playing,” he continued.

“And Kvara is an incredible player.”

“But after the Supercoppa derby, I would also say Inter, who look to be back to their very best form.”

“This will be an important test for us to see the level we’re at,” Baldanzi suggested of this evening’s match.

“It will be like a final exam for us,” the 19-year-old added, “we’ll try and go out there and play a great match.”
