Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi could opt to start the same lineup against Empoli this evening as he went with against AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana last week.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the coach only has one or two doubts regarding which players to go with from the start in this evening’s Serie A clash.

Inzaghi certainly got his selection decisions right in Wednesday’s Supercoppa match against Milan, as his team saw out a dominant 3-0 win over the Rossoneri.

The coach is therefore set to largely trust in the same team, with at most a couple of changes to the lineup.

In defense, Stefan de Vrij could come in for Francesco Acerbi, whilst on the right wing Denzel Dumfries could get a start ahead of Matteo Darmian, although it is also very much possible that the lineup will be completely unchanged from Wednesday.
