Inter will put the Supercoppa Italiana trophy on display at the San Siro in the buildup to this evening’s Serie A match against Empoli.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will unveil the newest trophy in the club’s cabinet as they look to keep the momentum from Wednesday’s victory in the competition going.

Inter got a big boost in confidence by beating city rivals AC Milan in the Supercoppa last Wednesday, and doing so by an emphatic 3-0 scoreline.

The Nerazzurri are set to play another derby match against the Rossoneri at the start of next month, and it promises to be a very significant fixture in the context of both teams’ seasons.

The club do not want the impression that was left by their dominant display over their derby rivals to fade in the meantime, and plan to display the Supercoppa at the San Siro in the meantime.
