Italian agent Giovanni Branchini believes that there is very little truth to the transfer rumours regarding a possible swap between Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and Barcelona’s Franck Kessie being discussed.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, Branchini stressed that in his view, transfer links of this nature tend to be nothing more than exaggerations or fabrications.
Last week, reports emerged from Italian and Spanish media that Inter and Barcelona were in talks over some prospective player swaps.
The likes of Brozovic and Kessie were two of the names most strongly linked as being part of a possible exchange between the two clubs.
However, there has hardly been any confirmation of the reports, whilst denials quickly filtered from the players’ representatives.
In the view of Italian football agent Branchini, it is almost certainly the case that this is another example of a transfer story with very little basis in reality.
“Until recently Kessie has been out of the picture at Barcelona and they’ve put his name on the market, but I don’t have the slightest knowledge of it, there hasn’t been any contact with Inter nor has there been any for Brozovic,” the agent said.
“When you have a player who’s out of favour, you start to hypothesize negotiations which, nine times out of ten, are nothing more than pure fantasy,” he added.
