Inter could feel that they are already at an advantage when they start with both Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez in attack if the two strikers’ recent form is anything to go by.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who note that one of the two strikers has been on the scoresheet in each of the Nerazzurri’s matches since their victory over Bologna on November 9.

Dzeko and Martinez are anticipated to start for Inter in this evening’s Serie A match against Empoli.

The pair have started to form a very functional and formidable strike duo in the Nerazzurri’s recent matches.

The Bosnian and the Argentine each scored in the Nerazzurri’s 3-0 win over AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana last Wednesday, capping off an impressive performance leading the line together.

Now, Inter could feel that as long as they have two strikers operating at this level, they can virtually take for granted that they will get on the scoresheet, the Gazzetta argues.
