Inter striker Romelu Lukaku will likely be ready to make an appearance off the bench in this evening’s Serie A match against Empoli.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Belgian could play for around half an hour in the second half of the clash with the Tuscans based on his recent fitness.

Lukaku completed almost a complete training session with his teammates yesterday, only being excused for the final part of the session.

The sense is that the 29-year-old is close to being fully match-fit, and should be ready to be given a real run-out in this evening’s Serie A clash.

After having been out injured for a Coppa Italia clash with Parma and a Serie A fixture against Hellas Verona, and an unused substitute against AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana, Lukaku should be ready for a meaningful appearance against Empoli.
