Paris Saint-Germain makes no secret of the fact that Inter defender Milan Skriniar has been a target for the club, but is not sure when the player will arrive.

Speaking to French broadcaster BeIn Sport, via FCInterNews, the coach admitted that the Parisians had chased Skriniar during last summer transfer window, but insisted that he does not know if or when the player will be signed.

Skriniar looks set to leave Inter rather than signing a contract extension, whether it is this month or on a free transfer in the summer.

The former Sampdoria defender had already looked close to making the switch to PSG during the summer, but the two clubs were unable to reach an agreement on a transfer.

The French champions have been persistent in their interest, however, although it will remain to be seen exactly how the transfer saga between they and Skriniar players out from here.

Asked about the Slovakian, PSG coach Galtier said that “I’m following the news, but I can’t say whether he’ll arrive in the summer or this winter.”

“We’ve targeted him for a long time in the summer and we chased him in the summer, although we didn’t end up signing him,” the coach added.
