Inter have been left extremely frustrated with the decision of defender Milan Skriniar’s agent to release an interview regarding the player’s future right when the team were in the midst of a Serie A match against Empoli.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who report that the timing of the interview with the 27-year-old’s representative Roberto Sistici has caused a serious rift between the club and Sistici.

Skriniar’s agent Sistici gave an interview where he confirmed that the Slovakian does not intend to extend his contract with Inter and that the player is in talks with Paris Saint-Germain and other clubs.

The agent gave his version of the timeline of negotiations with the Nerazzurri, and also defended the player’s decision, arguing that it had been Inter who essentially put him up for sale in the first place.

Whilst the content of the interview was naturally somewhat upsetting to Inter, it was the timing that has really caused them to feel angry with Sistici.

The agent’s interview was released just as Inter were playing a Serie A match against Empoli, a fixture in which Skriniar was sent off for the first time in a Serie A match in almost three years.

The sense is that this has only widened an emerging rift between Inter and the player’s representative.
