Inter Milan Can’t Afford Man City Linked Giorgio Scalvini Who Will NOT Replace Milan Skriniar, Italian Broadcaster Reports

Inter will not be able to move for Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini as a replacement for Milan Skriniar, as the 19-year-old would be out of their price range, and Lille’s Tiago Djalo is a more affordable option.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInter1908, who reported this afternoon that La Dea would value Scalvini at no less than €40 million amid interest from the likes of Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

Scalvini is certainly a player on Inter’s radar, and the young Atalanta defender has been one of the names linked with the Nerazzurri as a defensive reinforcement now that it looks clear that Milan Skriniar will leave the club.

However, the Nerazzurri are far from the only club keen on the 19-year-old.

European heavyweights Man City and Bayern are both big fans of Scalvini, and Atalanta are hoping that a bidding war between top clubs drives up the price tag for the player, who they value at a minimum of €40 million.

Such a fee would be well beyond what Inter could afford, and so they are looking at Lille defender Djalo as an attainable target to replace Skriniar.
