There is no chance of Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic joining Inter during the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Florence-based newspaper La Nazione, via FCInter1908, who report that the player’s agent has informed the Nerazzurri that he has no intention of leaving La Viola midway through the current season.

Milenkovic has been one of the names linked with Inter as a possible replacement for Milan Skriniar, who could depart even before the end of the current month when the transfer window slams shut.

The Nerazzurri had been keen on signing the 25-year-old Serbian international during last summer’s transfer window, as a possible replacement for Skriniar.

However, Milenkovic was not signed by Inter then, and decided to extend his contract with Fiorentina until the end of June 2027.

Now that Skriniar looks set to leave Inter, the club have made contact with Milenkovic’s agent Fali Ramadani about the possibility of a move, potentially even during the current transfer window.

However, Ramadani has made clear to Inter that Milenkovic does not intend to leave the Tuscan club this month, according to La Nazione.
