Referee Maurizio Mariani has been appointed to be in charge of Inter’s Serie A clash away to Cremonese on Saturday evening.

This is confirmed by an announcement by the Lega Serie A of the officiating crews for all of the fixtures for this matchday, as reported by FCInterNews.

Mariani will be assisted in his duties by the likes of Marco Bresmes and Marco Scatragli.

Meanwhile, the role of fourth official will be filled by Gianpiero Miele.

In the VAR booth, Luigi Nasca will oversee the match to ensure that any errors made by the on-pitch officials are corrected.

The role of assistant to Nasca as the video assistant will be filled by Federico Dionisi.

Inter will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch rather than on any officiating controversy.

The Nerazzurri are hoping to bounce back from their shock defeat against Empoli at the San Siro on Monday.
