Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini could leave the Nerazzurri before the end of the January transfer window, with Premier League side Nottingham Forest keen on his signature.
This accorded to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported live on air this afternoon via FCInter1908 that the English team are working to get a deal done for Gagliardini over the next few days.
There is little doubt that Gagliardini will be on his way from Inter by next summer at the latest, as the 28-year-old’s current contract with the Nerazzurri runs out at the end of June and there is no chance of an extension.
Teams in Serie A have expressed an interest in signing the former Atalanta, in the summer on a free transfer or this month, whilst some interest has come from abroad.
However, Forest have emerged as serious candidates to sign Gagliardini, and they do not want to wait until next summer.
The English team, who are currently in the midst of their first season back in the top flight after promotion from the Championship last season, are pushing to agree a deal to sign Gagliardini before the transfer window slams shut according to Di Marzio.
