Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is targeting Champions League football for next season, a Coppa Italia win, and progression to the Champions League quarterfinals in order to prove he is the right man for the Nerazzurri beyond this season.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the coach is aiming to guide the team to a top four finish at the very least, and to continue last season’s momentum in the Champions League.

Inzaghi’s future has been in more doubt that had perhaps been expected for this season when the former Lazio coach signed a contract extension in the summer.

The Nerazzurri now look to be out of the Serie A title race, but the coach will be expected to at the very least secure top four and Champions League football if he’s to be certain of his future at the club.

Meanwhile, the coach is aiming to reach the next round of the Champions League this time around, and to successfully defend last season’s Coppa Italia crown in order to prove himself for the future.
