Inter-linked Atalanta midfielder Giorgio Scalvini does not feel that he is getting ahead of himself despite the persistent transfer links to some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Speaking to Bergamo-based newspaper L’Eco di Bergamo, via FCInterNews, the 19-year-old stressed that his focus is on his current club despite the fact that he has been linked with a number of big clubs.
Inter are one of the clubs most strongly linked with Scalvini, with the 19-year-old reported to be something of a dream target for the Nerazzurri to replace Milan Skriniar.
Meanwhile, within Serie A Juventus are reportedly very keen on Scalvini, whilst the likest of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich have been reported to have a strong interest as far as teams from abroad.
However, the Atalanta defender is yet to turn twenty despite his outstanding form this season, and from his perspective there is little question of his focus still being on continuing to do well at La Dea.
“I hear a lot in the newspapers, a lot of rumours, but my focus remains on Atalanta,” Scalvini said.
“These rumours aren’t distracting me,” he continued, “that can become a problem for a lot of young talents who let it get to their hands and then lose their way a bit.”
