Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani will start for the Nerazzurri in Saturday evening’s Serie A clash away to Cremonese, with Marcelo Brozovic still not set to recover from his calf injury in time for the match.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who name the 20-year-old as the player who will fill in for Brozovic against the Lombard team.

Brozovic has been working to get fully fit after having missed all of Inter’s matches so far since the return from the international break, but the Croat will have to wait until either the Coppa Italia quarterfinal clash with Atalanta next week or the Milan derby against AC Milan next month.

According to the Gazzetta, Asllani will be trusted to take the place of the Croat in the Nerazzurri’s starting eleven on Saturday.

The Albanian has put in positive performances from the start against Parma in the Coppa Italia, as well as from the bench against Empoli in recent matches.
