Real Madrid are set to re-sign Rayo Vallecano wingback Fran Garcia amid transfer interest from Inter and Bayer Leverkusen.

This according to Spanish news outlet AS, via FCInterNews, who report that Los Blancos will bring back the 23-year-old who came through their academy before leaving for Rayo, in order to prevent him from being signed by another club.

Garcia’s form for Rayo over the past couple seasons has attracted significant transfer attention.

According to AS, Leverkusen have been ready to pay the 23-year-old Spaniard’s €10 million release clause in order to sign him, whilst the player has also been subject to a recent offer from Inter.

The Nerazzurri are constantly on the lookout for potential signings in the wingback positions, which are important under current coach Simone Inzaghi.

However, Los Blancos retain 50% of the rights to Garcia, who left from their youth academy on a permanent basis in the summer of 2021, and can sign him back for just €5 million.

According to AS, Real intend to do just this, in order to not lose hold of the player.
