Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries is unlikely to transfer away from the Nerazzurri during the January transfer window at this stage.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Dutchman’s agent has been probing for interest in the Premier League, but that a move does not look to be on the horizon.

Dumfries’s agent Rafaela Pimenta has been in England in the past few days, where she has spoken with a number of Premier League clubs, Chelsea in particular.

According to Tuttosport, Pimenta has not uncovered any interest in immediately moving for Dumfries before the transfer window closes, and so the 26-year-old is likelier to leave in the summer.

In the meantime, Dumfries will continue to have an important role to play for Inter, where he is expected to start against Cremonese in Serie A tomorrow, with Matteo Darmian to play in the back three and Raoul Bellanova on the bench.
