Inter are hoping that they can have midfielder Marcelo Brozovic back fit and available for either next week’s Coppa Italia clash with Atalanta, or for the Milan derby in Serie A on the weekend after this one.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are hoping that the Croat’s fitness problems do not last for much longer.
So far this season, Brozovic’s playing time for Inter has been significantly restricted by injury.
After the September international break the 30-year-old was out for more than a month with a thigh problem, whilst a calf injury picked up in training after the winter break has meant that he has not featured for the Nerazzurri after the World Cup.
Inter are increasingly feeling that the Croat’s fitness is a problem, although they are anticipating that he will be back not long after tomorrow’s Serie A match against Cremonese.
