Inter coach Simone Inzaghi was pleased with the mentality shown by his team as they came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Cremonese in Serie A this evening.

The Nerazzurri were trailing early on at the Stadio Giovanni Zini, but a brace from Lautaro Martinez sealed the victory and allowed Inter to move on from Monday’s 1-0 defeat to Empoli.

Speaking to the club’s inhouse television channel, Inter TV, after the match, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, Inzaghi praised the spirit shown by his players and admitted that the early goal could have dented the Nerazzurri’s confidence.

“We had approached the match very well, but the goal could have brought us down. The team remained focused and we deserved won the match. There was a great reaction, I congratulated the boys,” Inzaghi revealed.

The former Lazio coach was also impressed with Inter’s concentration levels in seeing out the victory, and felt that they had put the defeat last time out behind them by securing the three points.

“The concentration we had, the fact that we were always a team and we had great character are other positives. We had to quickly forget the defeat against Empoli, these points help our position in the table.

“You have to always be team, in the best moments and in the lesser ones. Today the boys showed it, they remained calm and scored two very important goals,” he added.

Inter now turn their attention to a Coppa Italia clash against Atalanta in midweek, before the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan in Serie A next Sunday.
