Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is expected to start Edin Dzeko in attack against Cremonese today, with Romelu Lukaku not fit enough to take to the pitch from the first whistle.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international will partner Lautaro Martinez up front, particularly after the impact he made in wins over Atalanta and AC Milan, with the latter helping Inter lift the Supercoppa Italiana.

Lukaku has struggled for form and fitness this season since returning on loan from Chelsea, and his latest setback earlier this month has prevented him from starting at the Stadio Giovanni Zini.

The Belgian is likely to be a second half substitute and should he come through unscathed, whilst also proving his fitness, could return to the team ahead of a gruelling set of fixtures.

Indeed, Inter face Atalanta in the Coppa Italia, followed by the Derby della Madonnina against Milan in Serie A, over the coming eight days, with Lukaku hoping to feature from the start in these matches.
