Inter centre-back Milan Skriniar is not expected to join Paris Saint-Germain this month, with the French club only willing to sign him as a free agent in the summer.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Slovakian defender is ready to leave Inter after rejecting a new contract with the Nerazzurri, and is closing in on a switch to Ligue 1 in the summer.
PSG would be ready to offer Skriniar a five-year contract worth €9 million per season, in addition to a €20 million signing-on bonus as a free agent, but they are not looking to buy a defender in the current transfer window.
However, Footmercato report that this has opened the door for an unnamed Premier League club to try to take advantage and convince Skriniar to make the move to England instead.
The 27-year-old joined Inter from Sampdoria in 2017 and has made 242 appearances for the Nerazzurri, scoring 11 goals.
