Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni impressed during the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 win over Cremonese in Serie A yesterday evening.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the former Atalanta centre-back showed elegance on the ball and read the play well, with his defensive work considered to be excellent.

Bastoni was awarded a 6.5 in the newspaper’s player ratings, along with fellow centre-back Matteo Darmian as he played in an unfamiliar role, away from his usual wingback position.

Striker Lautaro Martinez received the highest rating of 7.5, with the Argentina international netting twice to turn the match around in Inter’s favour and take his tally for the season to 11.

However, Tuttosport were not impressed with Nerazzurri goalkeeper Andre Onana, despite the summer signing from Ajax having little to do after Cremonese’s early goal.

Onana was described as frightening when the ball was launched into his penalty area and his aerial command was considered to have been lacking.
