Inter centre-back Alessandro Bastoni earned praise from Italian media for his performance during yesterday’s 2-1 win over Cremonese in Serie A.

As reported by L’Interista.it, the Italian international was starting to show signs of returning to his best form at the Stadio Giovanni Zini, and took on a freer role in Inter’s back three.

La Gazzetta dello Sport argued that Bastoni had enjoyed an excellent game and had flourished in his more attacking role, making 80 successful passes and finding space to get forward and take on shots, as they awarded him a 7 in their player ratings.

The ex-Atalanta defender earned a 6.5 from both Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport, with the former praising Bastoni for keeping Cremonese’s attack under control throughout the match and ensuring they could not push forward.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old earned a 6.5 from both Tuttomercatoweb and L’Interista, who suggested that he had put in his best performance of the season against the Grigiorossi.
