Inter defender Milan Skriniar has made clear his intentions to join Paris Saint-Germain after senior management at the club informed his teammates of his decision, according to Fabrizio Biasin.

Taking to Twitter, and as reported by FCInter1908.it, Italian journalist Biasin suggested that Skriniar felt ready to go public with his desire to move on to PSG after his teammates learned of his intentions from staff at the club.

Skriniar is alleged to have given an interview to Slovakian outlet Futbalsfv.sk in which he confirmed that he had reached a contract agreement with PSG, but was waiting for the French club to strike a deal with Inter, although this has since been denied.

However, Biasin claimed that Skriniar’s Nerazzurri teammates had been told of his departure before yesterday’s 2-1 win over Cremonese in Serie A, and as a result of this he felt ready to announce his decision.

“Skriniar finds the strength to say ‘I signed for PSG’ and do you know why? Because yesterday, before the match against Cremonese, the management announced his decision in front of the whole team. All they needed to come out of it with their heads held high was a bit of courage. Too bad,” Biasin tweeted.

The 27-year-old joined Inter from Sampdoria in 2017 and has made 241 appearances for the club.
