Inter striker Lautaro Martinez was considered the best player on the pitch after he netted a brace in a 2-1 win over Cremonese in Serie A yesterday.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Argentina international made the difference at the Stadio Giovanni Zini, as he scored either side of halftime to propel Simone Inzaghi’s team into second place in the table.

Inter had been trailing to an early David Okereke goal, but Martinez’s double ensured victory and took him to 11 league goals for the season.

The former Racing Club striker was awarded a 7.5 in the newspaper’s player ratings for his decisive impact, as he lead the line expertly before being substituted for compatriot Joaquin Correa late in the second half.

Elsewhere, defender Alessandro Bastoni impressed and was awarded a 7, though midfielder Roberto Gagliardini and wingback Robin Gosens both disappointed, with both players being marked at 5.5 respectively.
