Football analytics experts Opta took to Social Media to highlight the impact of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez since he joined the club, after he netted twice against Cremonese.
The Argentina international scored both of Inter’s goals in their 2-1 win yesterday to take his tally for the season to 11 in Serie A.
Martinez has reached double figures for the fourth season since joining from Racing Club in 2018, with only compatriot Mauro Icardi and Hungarian Istvan Nyers ahead of him on five seasons in the list of foreigners at the club.
“10×4 – Lautaro Martinez is the 3rd foreign player in Inter’s history to reach 10+ goals in at least 4 different seasons in Serie A, after Stefano Nyers and Mauro Icardi (both five). Toro,” Opta tweeted.
