Inter are thinking about offering a loan deal with a €20 million purchase option to Atalanta for defender Merih Demiral as a replacement if Milan Skriniar leaves before the end of January.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the Nerazzurri are trying to hash out a deal with La Dea for the event that Paris Saint-Germain make a suitable offer for Skriniar.

As of yet, Di Marzio reports, the Nerazzurri have not received any new bids from PSG for Skriniar.

However, they are well aware of the possibility that the French champions could make a late push to sign the 27-year-old in one of the final days of the transfer window.

Accordingly, the Nerazzurri want to have Demiral lined up as a replacement for the former Sampdoria defender in the event that PSG make a bid that they will accept.

According to Di Marzio, the Nerazzurri are considering offering Atalanta an initial loan deal for the former Sassuolo and Juventus defender, which would contain an option to sign him permanently for a fee worth €20 million.
