Referee Daniele Chiffi has been appointed to be in charge of Inter’s Coppa Italia quarterfinal match against Atalanta at the San Siro tomorrow.

This is confirmed by an announcement by the Lega Serie A of the officiating crews for all of the quarterfinal matches to be played this week, as reported by FCInterNews.

Chiffi will be assisted in his duties by the likes of Dario Cecconi and Mauro Galetto.

Meanwhile, the role of fourth official will be filled by Lorenzo Maggioni.

In the VAR booth, Gianluca Aureliano will oversee the match to ensure that any errors made by the on-pitch officials are corrected.

The role of assistant to Aureliano as the video assistant will be filled by Oreste Muto.

Inter will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch rather than on any officiating controversy.

The Nerazzurri are hoping to reach the semifinals of the competition, having gone all the way and won it last time around.
