Inter defender Stefan de Vrij is considering a contract extension offer from the club at slightly reduced wages, whilst he also looks at offers from teams in the Eredivisie and La Liga.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have put an offer on the table worth a bit less than the €4 million net per season that the former Lazio and Feyenoord defender currently earns.

De Vrij is yet to make a decision on whether to extend his contract with Inter which expires in June, or extend his time at the club beyond that.

The Dutchman’s agent has been probing for interest on a free transfer should he decide to leave at the end of his deal, as the player wants to be as informed as possible when making his decision.

According to the Gazzetta, the most serious interest that has emerged in the 30-year-old’s signature for June has come from clubs in the Dutch and Spanish top flights.
