AC Milan Midfielder Ismael Bennacer A Major Injury Doubt For Serie A Derby Clash Vs Inter Milan, Italian Broadcaster Reports

AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer is a major doubt for the Rossoneri’s Serie A clash with Inter next weekend due to a muscle injury.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that there is a very good chance that the Algerian will not recover in time to face the Nerazzurri in the Milan derby scheduled for next Sunday.

Bennacer was not in the squad for the Rossoneri’s shock 5-2 defeat at the hands of Sassuolo over the weekend.

According to Sky, the reason for this is that the former Empoli midfielder has been dealing with a problem in his left hamstring.

Further tests over the coming days will reveal whether or not Bennacer will be able to fully recover in time for his team’s derby clash with city rivals Inter next weekend.

However, according to Sky, there looks to be a good chance that Rossoneri coach Stefano Pioli will be forced to do without the key midfielder in his team for the match.
