Inter are keeping their options very much open for a possible replacement for Milan Skriniar if the defender is to be sold to Paris Saint-Germain late on in the transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta is prepared with a list of several names in case Skriniar leaves during the dying hours of the window.

Inter’s top target to replace Skriniar like-for-like would be Atalanta defender Merih Demiral.

The Nerazzurri want to sign the Turk on loan with a purchase option worth €20 million net, although they have yet to convince La Dea.

As backup options, the likes of Lille’s Tiago Djalo and Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof are on the Nerazzurri’s radar.

Stuttgart defender Konstantinos Mavropanos has also emerged as a serious target.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta reports, Inter are also keeping track of the situation of former Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly at Chelsea.

The Senegalese is liked for his Serie A experience, although his current €10 million net per season wages would represent a major stumbling block.
