Referee Davide Massa has been appointed to be in charge of Inter’s Serie A clash against AC Milan at the San Siro.

This is confirmed by an announcement by the Lega Serie A of the officiating crews for all of the fixtures for this matchday, as reported by FCInterNews.

Massa will be assisted in his duties by the likes of Daniele Bindoni and Davide Imperiale.

Meanwhile, the role of fourth official will be filled by Simone Sozza.

In the VAR booth, Paolo Mazzoleni will oversee the match to ensure that any errors made by the on-pitch officials are corrected.

The role of assistant to Mazzoleni as the video assistant will be filled by Michael Fabbri.

Inter will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch rather than on any officiating controversy.

The Nerazzurri will be looking to get revenge for their loss to the Rossoneri in the first league derby of the season.
