There is a good chance that Inter striker Romelu Lukaku will start this Sunday’s Serie A derby clash between the Nerazzurri and AC Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Belgian is starting to convince Inter coach Simone Inzaghi that he should be the one to start alongside Lautaro Martinez in attack.

Lukaku started against Atalanta in the Coppa Italia quarterfinal clash on Tuesday, and the 29-year-old’s performance impressed everyone.

There was a real sense that the striker is starting to get back to his best, and that he could even be ready to start against Milan on Sunday.

Nerazzurri coach Inzaghi is virtually certain to start the in-form Martinez against the Rossoneri, but has yet to fully make up his mind as to who starts alongside the Argentine.

According to Tuttosport, however, the coach feels that if Lukaku can keep improving at the rate that he showed against Atalanta, the Belgian can offer something that neither Edin Dzeko nor Joaquin Correa can from the start.
