The agent of Inter-owned goalkeeper Andrei Radu feels that the Romanian has found a positive new destination in his loan spell with Auxerre in Ligue 1.

Speaking to Italian news outlet TuttmMercatoWeb, the 25-year-old’s agent Crescezno Cecere explained that whilst things had gotten off to a good start in his loan spell with Cremonese, he found himself out of the starting eleven so he decided to join a new club for playing time.

Radu started this season on loan with Cremonese, with the Inter keeper having joined the newly-promoted Serie A team on loan during the summer transfer window.

However, after having initially been the first-choice keeper for the Lombard side, the Romanian found himself displaced from the starting eleven by young Atalanta-owned keeper Marco Carnesecchi.

Accordingly, Inter and Radu went in search for a new club for him to join on loan for the remainder of the current season.

As the player’s agent notes, the most significant interest in his signature came from Ligue 1, and he believes that Radu is happy with Auxerre where he will play for the rest of the season.

“There were already several offers for him from France during the summer,” Cecere noted.

“Cremonese had decided to put their faith in him, but then after Carnesecchi came in things changed, and we decided that it would be best for him to look for a new experience elsewhere.”

“He’s happy where he is now,” the agent added, “he has hope that he can help save Auxerre from relegation.”
