Inter are ready to offer defender Alessandro Bastoni a new three-year contract extension until the end of June 2027 that would increase his wages to €4 million net per season.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that a meeting is scheduled with the 23-year-old’s agent over the coming weeks to try and advance the negotiations quickly towards a new deal.

After the hard lesson learned from Milan Skriniar’s contract situation, Inter are prioritizing more than ever making sure that important players at the club do not go into the final seasons of their contract without an extension.

Bastoni is one of the main names in that regard, as the former Parma and Atalanta defender is a vital player in the Nerazzurri’s backline, and currently sees his contract run out at the end of June 2024.

The Nerazzurri are ready to meet with the 23-year-old’s agent Tulio Tinti in the coming weeks, and are hoping that their offer of a deal until the end of June 2027 worth €4 million will be close to being enough to convince him to commit his future.
