Inter defender Milan Skriniar is very keen to start winning back the Nerazzurri fans over his final months at the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 27-year-old wants to prove himself on the pitch and have the right kind of send-off to the club and the fans.

With Skriniar having all but announced his intention to leave Inter in the summer, ending six seasons in a Nerazzurri shirt, an air of uncertainty has naturally descended on his relationship with the fans.

Where the Slovakian had previously been virtually the last player to be called into question by the fans in terms of his commitment and professionalism, now the Nerazzurri supporters will be wondering if the player’s heart is in it.

From Skriniar’s perspective, he still feels a strong commitment to the Nerazzurri even if he has made the decision to seek a new challenge last season, the Corriere reports.

The former Sampdoria defender intends to give his all over what remains of the current campaign, and is hoping that if he can help the club to another trophy the fans will recognize that his commitment has never wavered, right up until he departs.
