AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli feels that while Inter’s quality is something he and his player are well aware, they still have confidence ahead of the derby tomorrow.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of the match, as reported by FCInter1908, the Rossoneri coach stressed that he believes that the derby will be an opportunity to start rebounding in their season.

Milan are in the middle of their worst run of form of the season, and have already lost 3-0 to Inter just a few weeks ago.

For this reason, it is only natural for the Rossoneri to feel a certain wariness as they head into tomorrow evening’s derby clash.

However, the Milan derby is often a match whose result ends up flying in the face of the form of the two teams going into it.

Moreover, the derby is often a perfect occasion for a team to put bad form behind them and reassert themselves.

Pioli noted that “We have complete respect for Inter, but we’ve already shown that we can go toe-to-tie with them and get a result.”

“We believe in it,” he added, “it’s a great opportunity for us to show what we’re capable of.”
