Former Inter striker Ivan Zamorano feels that scoring in the Milan derby is a feeling unlike quite anything else in the world.
Speaking to InterTV, via FCInter1908, the Chilean looked back on how special it felt to get on the scoresheet in matches against the Rossoneri when he was an Inter player.
The Milan derby is always one of the showpiece occasions for Italian football.
Few matches in European football can boast the atmosphere that accompanies every meeting between the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri at the San Siro.
Regardless of how the two teams may be doing in the table or their form going into the derby, the emotions of the derby tend to be as intense as any for either team’s season.
Zamorano can still remember this from his playing career, and despite having had many experiences across his playing days, considers scoring in a derby to be truly special.
“I carry all the goals that I’ve scored in an Inter shirt in my heart, but those scored in the derby are special,” the former striker looked back.
“The first goal I scored was a header, a goal of quality, the right attitude, the elevation that I got on the header, and the atmosphere of it was unlike anything else.”
