Newly-arrived Inter defender Sherriff Kassama is happy with the reception that he has gotten upon joining the Nerazzurri.

Speaking to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, the 18-year-old stressed that he has already been made to feel like he belongs as part of the rest of the squad.

Inter only completed the signing of Kassama from the youth system of fellow Lombard team Monza into their own youth ranks.

However, the player is wasting no time in getting to know his teammates and starting to integrate as the team as he hopes to immediately impress playing with the Nerazzurri’s Primavera side.

For his part, Kassama feels that he is being welcomed well.

The young defender feels as though he is starting to fit in well, and can start to show what he is capable of on the pitch as he quickly gets up to speed with his teammates.

Kassama got off to a good start by helping the Primavera side to a 4-0 win over Napoli earlier this afternoon.

“We played well as a unit, it was important to unlock the match quickly in the first half,” he said of the win.

“I’m having a great time,” he said of the settling-in process, “the guys immediately welcomed me and made me feel like I’m one of them.”

“I haven’t even been here for a week, but I already feel like an integral part of the group.”

“I have a lot of respect for the coaching staff,” he added, “they’ll help us train and improve.”
