An unnamed US-based fund has come forward with an interest in becoming a shareholder of Inter.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper La Stampa, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri’s search for minority investment may well have turned up a candidate from the US for the summer.

Inter owners Suning are in search of minority shareholders for the Nerazzurri, with the owners reported to be hoping that they can maintain control of the club but still stabilize the financial situation with the influx of cash that would come from new investment.

So far, no concrete interest has come up, as neither a new minority partner nor a possible candidate to purchase the club outright has been revealed by the owners’ search.

However, La Stampa reports, this could change soon.

The newspaper claim that there is a US-based fund with a serious interest in becoming a shareholder, and that they could buy shares in the club this summer.
