Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to give his players a couple days off to rest up following the Milan derby yesterday.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri coach has given the squad two days off from training following their 1-0 win over AC Milan in the derby.

Inter have come off the back of a packed fixture schedule which saw them play six Serie A matches, including clashes with direct rivals Napoli and Milan, as well as the Supercoppa Italiana against the Rossoneri and two Coppa Italia matches, in the space of just a month.

Now, the Nerazzurri will have more rest than they’ve been accustomed to since the winter break, as it will not be until next Monday that they face Sampdoria away in Serie A.

Coach Inzaghi has decided to reward his players for their efforts over the past few weeks and give them some time to rest, as they will have a couple days off before returning to training.
