Inter’s back three looked like a well-oiled unit to keep AC Milan’s attack virtually entirely quiet in yesterday evening’s 1-0 derby victory.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who praise all of Milan Skriniar, Francesco Acerbi, and Alessandro Bastoni for their roles in a tidy clean sheet for the Nerazzurri.

In Inter’s backline, the wide centre-backs Skriniar and Bastoni were given a lot of license to roam forward and dictate attacking moves in possession by Milan’s passive defensive approach.

The pair showed their class as they were active participants in the Nerazzurri’s buildup as the team aimed to create numerical overloads in possession all over the pitch.

Neither of the pair were derelict in their defensive duties, however, whilst Acerbi put in another rock-solid performance at the heart of the defense.

Tuttosport gave both Skriniar and Bastoni scores of 6.5/10 for their performances in their player ratings for the match, whilst Acerbi went one higher to 7/10 as he kept Rossoneri striker Olivier Giroud completely quiet.
